Nothing does that better than coral! And according to colour experts Pantone, who dubbed “Tangerine Tango” their 2012 Colour of the Year, you’ll be right on trend!

But if you’re feeling daring, coral pairs wonderfully with a teal or turquoise blue. It may sound crazy, but it’s true! Coral and teal are complementary colours, meaning they are exact opposites on the colour wheel. Pairing complementary colours enhances each colour and is pleasing to the eye. Delving into a bit of colour theory is a great way to create a unique look that works (you know that annoying style mantra–it doesn’t have to match, it just has to “go”–knowing your colours can help you achieve style harmony!).
